It’s our six day tour to the Smoky Mountains and Biltmore Estate in Asheville. Lots of shows at Dollywood and fun times. Our trip is full this year but check back to view our photos and join us next year.

It’s a cool travel day. Some heavier traffic in the Chicago area but it looks like we’ll be on time tonight. Tonight we stay in Edinburgh Indiana at the Comfort Inn.

We had a sunny drive into Pigeon Forge and an easy check into the our hotel, a great location called the Inn on the River. Tonight we went to a dinner show, the Hatfields and McCoys. The food was good and everyone like the corny humor music and dancing,

Another sunny day driving through the Smoky National Park. We stopped at the Tennessee, North Carolina state line on top of the summit at the Appalachian Trail. We had some fantastic photos. Most of the day was at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville North Carolina. The mum gardens were bright and they are already decorating the inside of the house for Christmas. The drive back to Pigeon Forge was interesting as we could some major parts of I-40 still missing from last years hurricane. Tonight we watched another show at the Country Tonite Theater.

Dollywood was full of fall decorations throughout the park. We had rides, shows, wonderful evening lights and a sunny day all day, We offered multiple trips back to the hotel throughout the day so everyone could decide how long they wanted to stay at the park.

Today in Columbus Indiana we stopped at Zaharakos Ice Cream Parlor. Since 1900 they have been serving homemade ice cream treats. Today our group all had sundaes surrounded by original soda fountains, beautiful bars and music machines pumping out some good music. Tonight we’ll be at the Drury Inn in Lafayette enjoying free cocktails and lunch.

Our last day was a travel day was uneventful with a some good food at the Pizza Ranch. We are looking forward to next years tour.
