September 2, 2025 Tuesday

We had a great travel day, sunny and low 80’s. Traffic was good and we arrived on time at the Country Inn & Suites tonight in Maumee Ohio.

September 3, 2025 Wednesday

Another sunny day crossing Ohio into Pennsylvania. After lunch we took a boat ride through Penn’s Cave looking at the rock formations and having a good time. Coming out of the cave was a lake where elk and deer lounged in the sun. Leaving the park on the way back to the freeway, a very scenic drive through Amish country. Tobacco farmers, spacious farms and a curvy hilly road. Tonight we stay in Bloomsburg at the Holiday Inn Express.

September 4, 2025 Thursday

Sidestepping New York City, we could see the skyline in the distance. Our morning stop was at the Maritime Museum in Norwalk Connecticut. Shark, seals and over 8000 animals call this museum home. They are the sea life of the neighboring waters of the New York Sound. Tonight we stay at the Fabulous Foxwoods Casino and Resort. Over 5000 slot machines, bingo, an outlet mall and dozens of restaurants, we had a full night of entertainment.

September 5, 2025 Friday

A sunny day reaching in the 80’s. At the Mystic Seaport a Museum of a seafaring village depicting life in the 1800’s, there were ships to board and buildings to enter along with an active shipyard restoring some salvaged boats. From here we travelled to Newport Rhode Island and saw the summer mansions of the Vanderbilts, Astors and many more all preserved and furnished. We toured the Breakers, the largest Vanderbilt home on the coast. Our hotel for the next two nights is the Fairfield Inn in Hyannis Massachusetts.

September 6, 2025 Saturday

In Cape Cod, specifically Provincetown we had a dune tour along the beach and into park. A short time later we went whale watching on a the Atlantic Ocean. We had good sightings of humpback whales and some fin whales. Back at the hotel we had a short break then went out for a lobster dinner. It was a full wonderful day.

September 7, 2025 Sunday

After a rainy morning, the rain stopped at the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge Massachusetts. The largest collection of Norman Rockwell art is on display here along with other featured artists. Saturday Evening Posts adorn the walls along with a sculpture Garden outside. Tonight we stay in he Syracuse area at the Hampton Inn.

September 8, 2025 Monday

A beautiful day with iconic stops. In the morning Niagara Falls. It is just a spectacular to see so much water falling to the baseof the falls and hearing the deafening roar. We even got just a little wet from the mist. This afternoon we stopped at the Lucy Desi Museum in Jamestown New York. The life of Lucy & Desi is so full of accomplishments, they certainty deserve their own museum This is a must stop for everyone. Tonight we stay at the Holiday Inn in Erie PA,

September 9, 2025 Tuesday

Sunny all day in the 70’s, perfect weather. Lunch was bison roast and pulled pork served at the Cooks Bison Ranch. Excellent meal. After lunch we boarded tractor pulled wagons out to the pasture to feed the bison. They come right up to the wagons and extend their tongues to a surprising length. One hour and half away, our casino hotel with good food and lots of slots along with $25.00 free slot play for all.

September 10, 2025 Wednesday

Back home again after a days drive with a good hot lunch buffet at Pizza Ranch in the Madison area.
