May 30, 2023 Tuesday- We had a great travel day. Smooth trip staying overnight in Indianapolis on our way to the Ark.
May 31, 2023 Wednesday-At the Ark today, it was sunny and warm in the 80’s. We spent most of the day here touring the exhibits, attending the gospel concert and walking around the small zoo area. We’ll stay two nights at the Drury inn in a Cincinnati suburb.
June 1, 2023 Thursday- Another sunny day. This morning a local guide boarded our bus for a tour of Covington KY and Cincinnati Ohio. We stopped at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption for a short visit and a few other interesting places the city. There are lots of murals throughout the downtown area. We had lunch, rode the train and watched the bird show at the zoo. Everyone needed a break after the zoo so we went back to the hotel. Tonight we will attend a dinner theater presentation of Escape to Margaritaville.
June 2, 2023 Friday-Two great stops today. First, the Creation Museum explains all the Bibles stories about creation through film and exhibits all laid out in a walk through exhibit. In the afternoon, the Indianapolis 500 ended less than a week ago and we were fortunate to travel a complete lap around the track. We made a stop at the finish line to kiss the bricks just like the winning team. We spent some more time in the museum then left for Lafayette Indianapolis.
June 3, 2023 Saturday-we arrive home today very close and on time according to our schedule. It never rained this trip, it was warm but not unpleasant. Another great trip.
