New Orleans Caribbean Cruise

January 20 - 2010 - Wednesday Our tour starts out with a rainy drive through Illinois. That's OK just a travel day. By nightfall the temperature up to over 40 degrees.
January 21 - 2010 - Thursday - Today we stopped in Memphis for some sightseeing, shopping and lunch on Beale Street. Great weather sunny and high 60's. Toninght it's a fun stay at the Silver Star Casino.	*Click to view more image(s).*
January 22 - 2010 - Friday - A sunny full day of sights to see in New Orleans. We started off with a tour of the World War II Museum. We had lots of fun getting into costume at Mardi Gras World-that's the place where they make the floats for the parades. We topped off our evening with happy hour and dinner at the New Orleans Cooking School.	*Click to view more image(s).*
January 23 - 2010 - Saturday Today we board the cruise ship to Mexico for the next 5 days. We'll probably not have any new reports until we arrive back in the USA. (Thursday) Before boarding the ship we had a city tour of New Orleans stopping at a cemetery and driving through the neighborhoods still rebuilding after hurricane Katrina. As we left New Orleans an interesting fog rolled in around 4:00 PM.	*Click to view more image(s).*
January 24 - 2010 - Sunday - A day at sea for enjoying good food, the sun and watching the Viking Game on the big- big screen.	*Click to view more image(s).*
January 25 - 2010 - Sunday - Our first port of Call Progresso, Mexico. The group split up, some going to the Ruins and others taking a city bus tour and visiting the shops.	*Click to view more image(s).*
January 26 - 2010 - Tuesday - A sunny warm mid 70's day at Cozumel Mexico. At least six other cruise ships have pulled into this very popular stop. Once again everyone did their own thing either at the beach or boating around the reefs or shopping at the ever popular markets. January 27 - 2010 - Wednesday - Our last day at sea was a sunny day. Late afternoon we had a cocktail party in one of the many lounges aboard the ship.	*Click to view more image(s).*
January 28 - 2010 - Thursday - No pictures today. We left the ship very smoothly making our way to Fitzgeralds Casino/Hotel in Tunica, Mississippi.
January 29 - 2010 - Friday - A fun tour at Graceland. With the snow in Memphis Graceland looks very different. After we left, Graceland closed due to the weather. Snow and ice on the freeway makes for slow going. No sand or snow plows at all. We'll be late to our hotel tonight. We did pass the time playing Bingo.	*Click to view more image(s).*
January 30 - 2010 - Saturday - Starting out early, we had clear roads all the way home ending our 11 day tour.
